To celebrate the company’s anniversary, the Planek’s decided to give away $2,025 each month to six charities. And to build community and promote awareness of the charities, OakParkApartments.com developed an online process enabling community members to vote for their own charities.
After six months and over ten thousand votes cast, the winners are in and each has been presented a check. In total, 30 organizations received votes over six months.

Oak Leyden Developmental Services Oak Leyden works with children and youngadults with developmental disabilities to learn the skills they would need to live as independently as possible within home and community settings. http://oak-leyden.org/
The Children’s Clinic sponsored by Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society The Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society sponsors The Children’s Clinic, a community-supported health care organization that provides medical, dental and social services to children of families who are unable to afford the cost of private health care. Through partnerships with other community organizations we support the physical and social well-being of children.
Animal Care League Animal Care League helps homeless animals by providing food, shelter, medical attention and love until ACL can find them an equally loving home. http://www.animalcareleague.org/
