First off, there is OakToberfest.
OakToberfest is happening this weekend, September 16th and 17th in downtown Oak Park. The event includes music, beer and food for the adults. Kiddies have the root beer garden (sponsored by Trader Joe’s!) with activities such as; zucchini races 
(I’ve
provided some zucchini race visuals – a picture is worth a thousand words, as they say!), arts & crafts, Karaoke, hip hop dance lessons, and much, much more. Fun for all, I’d say!

Now let’s mosey on down to Harrison Street and enjoy the Art District’s “Art On Harrison” activities!
Music, yoga, dancing, art demonstrations, food and fun are all going on this weekend on Harrison Street. A silent auction is also a part of the event to benefit Prodigy Glass after the collapse of the building space Prodigy called home. (Oak Park is truly a community that cares!)

And finally, Barrie Fest!
Yes, Barrie Fest, as in a festival in Barrie Park. This celebration of
community takes place this Saturday from 1 – 5, where there will be more food and music to be had, as well as a pet parade, fire truck demonstration and bouncy houses for the enjoyment of the young and young at heart!
