Downtown Oak Park was recently awarded April’s “Downtown of the Month” award! This award was given to Oak Park’s lively and hip downtown business district by the International Downtown Association (IDA).
The IDA is an organization whose mission is to connect the people who “transform cities into healthy and vibrant urban places” with an ultimate long term vision of being a “world full of vital and livable downtowns.” Impressive and definitely describes our Oak Park!
OakParkApartments.com acknowledges that the diversity of the businesses in this district combined with that DTOP‘s active marketing and event planning efforts is what got Oak Park this impressive award! Events such as “Thursday Night Out”, where folks can dine al fresco while enjoying weekly themed entertainment has become a local favorite for all ages. Two other very successful summer events that OakParkApartments.com employees attended and can vouch for were Uncork Illinois and the Micro Brew and Food Review – which are both back on this year’s DTOP summer schedule!
