Here are some simple guidelines and information to help answer that question calmly in the face of any problem.
Emergency situations include:
No heat during extreme cold weather.
No electricity but only after you have checked, changed or flipped your fuses/breakers, power is out in the entire building , & you have contacted Com Ed to report a problem at their residential service number, 1-800-Edison-1. It may take Com Ed some time to respond if there has been a major storm.
Gas leak/gas smell: First leave you apartment, then immediately call Nicor Gas at 1-888-NICOR4U (642-6748) and finally call OakParkApartments.com’s emergency number (708-237-6952) to report the problem.
In case of Fire call 911 immediately.
Flooding is an issue that should be reported to OakParkApartments.com’s emergency services number at 708-237-6952.
For non-emergency services (for example: your toilet is not flushing, you have a slow drain, an appliance is on the fritz, or an outlet is not working) call 708-622-9246 during business hours (M-F, 9-5) or go online anytime at OakParkApartments.com to log in your request.
